For example the CoD Black Ops Zombie mode is quite good actually. You just turn on that thing play some rounds and go back to work ^^. Additionally it is scary and you get right to the point. Zombie games are easy to develop then by definition, a good AI featured Zombie is NOT a Zombie anymore. Personally, I've never gotten into the zombie games myself - I think literally the only one I've played was Left 4 Dead and I only got a few hours into it. Vampire games are even miles and miles further in the "untapped potential" camp.Ī genre or concept is only "overdone" until someone comes along with a title that redefines it in a new and interesting way that fans of the genre simply cannot live without. Personally, I think zombie games are really a forum that has yet to really discover itself - there is tons of room for new ideas and growth within the zombie package still.
